Life is Just a Box of Chocolates

A friend just emailed me with a request that I vote for a poll that NOW and PBS have organized.

It seems they are polling folks on whether Sarah Palin is qualified to run the USA.

I guess the whole country has been hit with a brain-debilitating disease. NOW & PBS have become so stupid as to think that they will get an intelligent response to this poll?

Or are they just curious to see the horrifying number of beer-guzzling-burp-the-alphabet-deer&moose-hunting-SundayFootball-watching-Tuesday-bowling-pull-my-finger-farting idiots who think it's okay to get another one of their idiot neighbors to run the country?

I read the transcript from the Charlie Gibson interview, the lipsticked pitbull didn't know what the Bush doctrine was and I cringed, but she didn't.

She didn't blink with her idiotic stab at what the Bush doctrine might be. She kept telling us how she didn't blink when asked to join the ticket and will not blink in our time of war and financial demise. She has shown the world that ignorance is bliss.

She is the living, breathing Forrest Gump. She'll get into the Whitehouse, and succeed just like Forrest Gump.

Run, Sarah, Run!!!

Life is just a box of chocolates.

And the Beat Goes On...

With dread and trepidation, I went to read the NY Times update regarding the American financial infrastructure.

As I opened my browser to http://www.nytimes.com/, thoughts were running through my head:

  • Are my tenants going to lose their jobs and become unable to pay their rent/my mortgage?
  • Will I be able to secure funding for the projects that I have slated for the upcoming year?
  • Do I still have access to my savings? All of it? The whole $453?
  • How f%&ked are we all going to be by this?
  • Was China's Olympic display an eery foreshadow of World Domination with the first step being: Bank of China Merrill Lynch?
  • Are we all going to have to stop doing bad Chinese accents?
And yet, as I glance over the NYT's headlines, I see this article about Cairo's residents who are living upon an unsafe cliff.

Hey NYT writer - Michael Slackman, I'm sure your article is gripping , but most folks JUST DON'T GIVE A FLYING PYRAMID POOPIE about people in Egypt who don't have the sense to move away from a dangerous area! You don't have to be rich to get out of harm's way.

Anyway, I'm surprised their homes lasted this long. They were built by Jewish and Arab slaves thousands of years ago. It seems to me, as a resident of Tel Aviv, Jews and Arabs are not the best urban planners or construction workers!!!!

Hey there, New York Times, most of the world is really more concerned with how the Bush Administration was too busy playing the game Crusaders-killing-folks-again-in-the-name-of-Jesus-and-Money-Amen to worry about how White Collar America was raping the country to the point of Armageddon.

The photo of those Egyptians' homes falling off a cliff pretty much sizes up the way America is going to look in the next couple of years because of the lack of sharp monitoring of the financial institutions in the United States.

We slapped Michael Milken, Ivan Boesky, Ken Lay into their White Collar Crime Spa-I-mean-prison, and with a wink and a shrug, we allowed Wall Street to intensify its greedy strategies and continuously up the ante.

And, they did up the ante. While Bush was playing Top Gun and declaring victory-uh-well-whatever in Iraq, the majority of taxpaying, American homeowners were being wooed, courted and then violently date-raped by our banks back home and now are paying to save these vile perpetrators.

Seems that at the same time, the then-Mayor of Wasilla, Palin cut funding which forced rape victims to pay for their forensic tests.

I guess that's the Republican response to Rape Victims: You pick up the tab.

Bush has been preaching on and on about the Axis of Evil, yammerin' on about how they hate us for our freedom. The Mid-East increasingly buys our music & TV shows, so they seem to appreciate our culture and free ideas.

They attacked the twin towers in Wall Street. Seems they were making a statement about America's Greed.

I feel like we have been attacked again. And once again, it is on Wall Street. This time, I think it was the rest of that Axis of Evil. We were attacked by the viciously corrupt and greedy partnership of the Bush Dynasty and the today's so-called 'Masters of the Universe'.

It was more devastating because it was an Inside Job.

I just read Roger Cohen's Op-Ed piece The King is Dead. It's cool that Roger was able to apply contemporary lyrics to an ancient sin: Greed.

Mr. Cohen seems bright, which is why I am perplexed. He seems so optimistic, as if this debacle is going to usher in a new, well-structured era. Why? Because a bunch of Ivy League grads are not flocking to Wall Street after graduation?

Given time, that's where they'll end up.

Face it, we didn't learn from our years of Reaganomics, 1989's conviction of Michael Milken, 2001's devastating Enron collapse and 7 years later the collapsing of the America's financial institutions.

Every 5-10 years, Wall Street implodes, explodes, collapses. Meantime, all these Masters of the Universe cry, pout and either get back on that horse again, or some new cowboys ride into town with some fresh angle.

I'm no economist or psychic (same thing, right?), but I'm going to hedge my bets that the next nail in the United States' financial coffin will come from Hedgefunds.

Post 9/11

I know. I know. It's 13 Sept, not 11 Sept. Well, it's 7 years later and I still feel it hasn't been enough time past to fully express how I feel about that day.

I do remember thinking, sometime during that day, "This is America's wake up call. We can't expect to act like the world's police or strong-arm other governments into complying with our interests, without consequences."

As I watched the horror unfold, I had this creepy feeling that the bill had just been handed to us.

As a side note, while Georgie-Boy and Cheney were hiding for cover in the White House, arranging private jets for Osama Bin Laden's cousins and colleagues to get outta Dodge fast, Clinton was walking among us, offer condolence and support while we collected DNA samples and hopelessly scraped and dug for the remains or particles of the buried, dead and vaporized.

Papa Bush financed, trained and nurtured Osama Bin-Laden into the warrior that led his troop against the USA and then Baby-Boy Bush's cow-towing to the Saudis put the finishing touches on turning this 6'5" gigantic, vile warmongering dog into a hero among a scary number of muslims around the world.

So, in case you are now outraged at these accusations or just scratching your head, just think about the millions of dollars in arms and training we gave to Bin Laden to assist him in fighting Russia against the Chechens.

Nice work, guys. Your pawn turned into your opponent.

During their convention, Republican Party added salt to the wound every time they mentioned the WTC attack. The Bush Regime is directly responsible for that atrocity and putting another member of their party into office would be inviting the wolf back into the hen house.

The War on Terror begins at home. Let's get rid of this Terror Regime.

Holy Bailout, Batman!

It's the month of Elul, which is the Jewish Holy month. Every Elul, we look back on the year, think of the transgressions that we've committed, the relationships that we've mismanaged and we try to make ammends. Hopefully, we try to improve ourselves by asking for and giving Forgiveness.

It's also decreed in our Torah that we are to forgive all outstanding financial debt.

The US Federal Government should learn from this Torah decree and give Fanny Mae's and Freddie Mac's MORTGAGE HOLDERS the close to $100 Billion that has been earmarked to bail the two banks' sorry tushies out of trouble!!

It just makes more sense to use the $100 billion to forgive the mortgageholders' debt, rather than reward the greedy, lying bank executives that helped plunge our economy into the toilet.

Fannie Mae CEO Daniel H. Mudd earns $14.2 million. That's after he took a 15% cut!!! Freddie Mac CEO Richard Syron's approximate $19.8 million package. Let's take thier packages & add the compensation packages of the top 20 Fanny Mae & Freddie Mac executives to salvage these two financial institutions.

It's a novel idea, perhaps, to make the perpetrators pay for their crimes.

Look at it this way, the average homeowner works overtime and second jobs in order to afford a home downpayment and mortgage payments. This hard-working American probably averages 60+ hours each week with a huge percentage of that hard-earned paycheck going to taxes.

Currently, that tax money is not being used to help these hard-working citizens protect their investment, instead, their tax money is being used to finance the bank thieves who are going to foreclose and steal their homes!!

And after foreclosure, the banks are going to re-sell their homes for the banks' own profit.

The current administration is making us, the taxpaying homeowners, pay to be robbed by the banks!!!

Can someone please wake up and slap some sense into every single taxpayer who is either in foreclosure or looming towards foreclosure?

If the federal government wants to allocate $200M of OUR money to anyone, it better damn well be back into safeguarding our hard-earned investments.

It sure as Hell does NOT get to go back into the hands of thieves who mismanged it in the first place!

Can some of you taxpaying, mortgageholders get your hands off the remote control and/or computer mouse and get an organized riot down in Washington about this?

Didn't George W declare a "War on Terror" a few years ago? Well, guys, I think this is a form of domestic terrorism.

They're kicking us out of our homes, and, no one is going to jail over this mess up!!

Why are we cheering and watching the ridiculous Presidential elections while a whole bunch of us former taxpaying homeowners are going to be on the streets jobless AND homeless?

A few months from now, you may be out on the street (or worse, living with your parents or in-laws) while Danny Mudd will be knocking back beers with Richard Syron.

It's the month of retrospect and forgiveness. I think that we need to re-assess how our tax & mortgage payments were used and force our government to replensih our stolen funds.

Danny Mudd and Dick Syron got themselves into their mess, let them self-finance their way out of their mess.

If they put their money where their mouths are, we can forgive them.
